FORUMS POSTING POLICY
We welcome your participation
in the forums. Our goal is to encourage discussion
on a variety of topics about The Ottomans. In
order to maintain a civil forums community, we
require readers to follow the following basic
guidelines:
Uploading
You cannot upload to the Web site, or distribute
or otherwise publish through it, anything that
is libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic
or abusive, or that otherwise violates any United
States, European Union or Turkish Republic law.
We like to inform you about our publishing policy
of posting your name with your upload. TheOttomans.org
regrets that it cannot honor requests to remove
posts after you finish your upload except when
such postings violate our editorial and business
policies.
Noncommercial
The forums can be used only in a noncommercial
manner. You cannot, without the express approval
of TheOttomans.Org, distribute or otherwise publish
material containing any solicitation of funds,
advertising or solicitation of goods or services.
Privacy
Posting messages to forums may make your name
and surname available to others through an automated
feature of our software. In the past, we have
found that the availability of names can facilitate
the development of our online community, and ensure
that users take a level of responsibility for
their postings. Questions regarding the use of
names in forums should be directed to info@theottomans.org
Right to Delete Posts
While we do not and cannot review every message
posted in the forums and are not responsible for
the content of these messages, we reserve the
right to delete, move or edit messages that we
deem abusive, defamatory, obscene, in violation
of copyright or trademark laws, or otherwise unacceptable.
We reserve the right to remove the posting privileges
of users who violate these standards of forum
behavior at any time.
Spamming
Repeatedly posting off-topic messages or "spamming"
our forums by posting the same message in multiple
topics or otherwise deliberately disrupting our
forums is unacceptable behavior that may result
in the user's losing all forum privileges and
access to our site. We reserve the right to prohibit
users who in any way violate acceptable forum
behavior from participating in our discussions.
Users remain solely responsible for the content
of their messages.
No Graphics
Graphics, audio, javascript files or foreign-language
(other than Turkish or English) posts are not
allowed on the forums.
We strive to make our forums a comfortable
and engaging place, and hope that you will visit
often.
